Ernie Button is my main inspiration for the artistic side of my food photography, due to his series of work called Cerealism. The meaning behind this work is his lack of being able to have cereal as a child, and how that experiment influenced him to produce this photographic set making cereal into art. The top image, showing the cereal standing alone, influence do me heavily to create the photographs of the jellybeans standing alone on the wooden slice. His work is both inspirational and meaningful, and I plan to future research his work in the upcoming months for my final major project, to look at how food can be made into art.
